We wish to draw your attention to the altered regulation regarding marking of Prelims Papers I and II.
- The Preliminary Examination continues to have two papers – Paper I of G.S. and Paper II of CSAT.
- The nature of Paper II, however, has been altered. It is now a Qualifying Paper where a candidate needs to secure at least 33% marks to satisfy the requirement of the UPSC. This means that a candidate needs to score at least 66 out of 200 marks in CSAT and the grading system continues to have a penalty for wrong answers etc.
- In view of this changed situation, I advise our students not to put all the eggs in one basket. They must be prepared to score atleast 33% in CSAT and as much as they possibly can in Paper I (G.S) to be declared eligible for taking the Mains examination.
Students are also advised to be careful about filling in of application forms online, keeping in mind the Last Date for submission of the same and avoidance of errors. Please do not Rush. If you have doubts make sure they are removed before you fill in your form. Our office is ready to help should you need any clarification.
